An upbeat blend of Gypsy Jazz and World Dance Fusion
Shenzo Gregorio Quartet
Having first picked up a violin at age 4, Shenzo Gregorio continues to bring a worldly inventiveness to the art of Improvising on the violin. Not steeped in any one particular tradition, this freedom has allowed him to be influenced by many countries. With a solid upbringing in Classical music, Shenzo has gone on to perform within the musical traditions of Flamenco, Gypsy Jazz, Bluegrass, Indian, Rock, Country, Blues and popular styles for the last 23 years. The Quartet consists of some of Brisbane best exponents of the Gypsy Jazz idiom – John Reeves on Piano Accordion, Cameron de la Vega on Guitar and Peter Walters on Double Bass.
