Rehearsal day!
A different day today. I am part of a theatrical and musical project called the Pyrophone Juggernaut, which is the world’s largest fire organ (see the website here). Today we had a rehearsal for an upcoming gig. We added in some new pieces which are sounding great! It is a great crew to work with, always feels like being with family when we get together… The pyrophone is still being sorted and put together before it needs to be shipped off. Here are some photos of this amazing project, a creation by instrument designer and maker Steve Langton, who uses second hand materials like pool filters, mag wheels, chemical drums and other (large) waste to make amazing sounding and looking musical contraptions!
