Looking back on a great long weekend at CelebrATE!, a two day celebration of Permaculture, Music and Food. Workshops with Jason Davies, Amanda Moore, Tom Kendall, Jodie Williams and Zaia Kendall, a music jam with Linsey Pollak, performances by the Unusual Suspects, Mal Webb & Kylie Morrigan and the Formidable Vegetable Sound System and food by Black Ant Gourmet.
Tom and I are excited to open our gates to people for CelebrATE! on Labour Day weekend, and to showcase our permaculture property which is currently providing us with around 90% of our food, 100% of our cooking energy needs and most of our animal feed.
The not for profit Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast Inc. On the final day of the Permaculture Design Certificate course run by the Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast Inc. and taught by Tom Kendall, students presented their designs, were in turn presented their certificates, had their final dinner and dessert and entertained in / were entertained by the talent show!
Day 9 of the Permaculture Design Certificate / PDC course and we had juice, pancakes, chocolate cake and fish, and the students are doing more design work. As an added extra, they will go to the Permaculture Noosa group meeting tonight and hopefully get inspired!
Students are in their teams doing their Permaculture Designs. Mulberries are ripening prolifically on our trees and are a treat over lunch.
