Duck milk moe

When I came to the chicken pen this morning, Tom called out that we have a different breed of ducks there this morning... When I looked into the pen, we had white speckled and beaked ducks... We put the skim milk into the chicken pens yesterday, and the ducks had a nice little feed and possibly a dip in the curds now in the pen! Hence the duck milk moes!

Milk moe ducks

We had lots of lovely rain today, much needed in the garden as it was starting to look a bit sad out there! I had a fail in my saurkrauting, I used some cabbage leaves from the garden but it had gone off, smelled pretty bad! The cabbage leaves are themselves not the greatest tasting but I will try another method, hopefully that will work! My sourdough bread is getting better and better though, I do a 72 hour ferment which works really well and makes the bread very digestible...
