The grade 9 class from the Noosa Pengari Steiner Waldorf school had a 2 week permaculture school camp at Maungaraeeda. They had a electronic free 2 weeks on the land, a wonderful group of students and teachers!
The Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast Inc. is looking for two dedicated, hard working Permaculture trainees, possibly for a longer term. We are offering a hands on Permaculture training experience at the Permaculture Demonstration and Education site Maungaraeeda, taught by PRI accredited teacher Tom Kendall.
On day 6 of the PDC (Permaculture Design Certificate) course, students were shown hands on how to survey with different tools. We also show here the various afternoon jobs and raw banana pie for morning tea!

The early morning cow routines at Maungaraeeda, home of Tom and Zaia Kendall and the Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast are very satisfying, both due to the connections between people and cows and for the end products.
Harvesting of home grown produce is very gratifying.
Zaia supports pasture fed beef growing as a more humane and environmentally friendly method than other “industrial” methods, and refutes the notion that beef production needs to use an excess of water.

Permaculture Noosa group meetings every 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Cooroy RSL hall from 6pm with a variety of interesting speakers.
Cooroy community gardens is run by Permaculture Noosa and local residents. Working bee every Sunday morning early!
