Sealing Earthen Floor

At last, the task I’ve been looking forward to. After cleaning the edges and being very satisfied with the look of the last troweling effort we started the sealing process. Using a paint brush to first do the edges and then using a paint roller. The sealing material is natural linseed oil. The first coat is neat and looks good. Looks very dark however it should lighten as it dries. IMG_1230[1]

As the second photo taken about two hours later shows as the thinner application dries it is a bit lighter.

Hopefully it will be dry enough to apply a second coat tomorrow. The sooner it is sealed the sooner I can relax that it won’t get damaged!
